Two more short Lymond fics that I enjoyed are...

Don't get excited--there's only one drabble. I like it, though.

There's also the fics posted on Dunnett's site, but I'm not sure who they're by. Bill Marshall, perhaps?

Hello! - and, yes. There is apparently more of this crossover (Bill and I used to work together) but he's been a little busy lately. What I don't know is if he has a copy of the material presented to DD - I'll ask, I think I'll be seeing him on Saturday.

Ishfahel, thanks for this.

I love you!!! And I don't mean that in a shallow & temporary livejournal kind of way.

This list is so badly needed! Bless you a thousand times over for making it. I can't wait to search out the ones I haven't seen. Also I'm about to add a little Lymond/Will Scott to the list as soon as I give it one last tweak ...

I simply don't understand why the net isn't awash with Lymondfic already. You and I and everyone else who's commented here need to address this scandalous deficiency!

Nooooooo .... argh, teasing not my intention at all. The fic wasn't finished until Saturday, then I wrote a kind of meta diatribe against Harry Potter writers who defect to other fandoms, so I have to let the dust settle before hypocritically publishing Lymondfic :-)

Sweet! Thanks so much for posting these. There's quite a few in here I wasn't aware of.

Thank you!

One small thing: Do you think it would be possible to include the genre/pairings/what have you next to the story?

Is there an update to this list (says she in hopes there might be newer fic to discover)? Anyway, it's a great resource (adds to Memories), a sadly neglected area of fanfic- why IS that, are we all too intimidated by DD's writing- yet the little I've read gives me great pleasure?

There will be an update sometime soon--sadly I'm way behind on all things fannish :) If you can't wait, there are several stories not listed here up at http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/fandom_dorothy_dunnett__the_lymond_chronicles.html --those are the only new ones I know of. It's a very intimidating canon and fanbase, I guess. I was hugely disappointed when I finished the books and couldn't find any fic.

Thank you for all of your lovely comments, by the way. Flattery will get you everywhere, at least with me :)

Well there's more fic now than the last time I looked, certainly, several years ago, the last re-read I did of the LC/HoN. It's the slash stories that most interest me, picking up on what I see in the novels coming from that perspective. Dunnett gives us plenty of subtext (Will, Jerott, Robin Stewart, the French gallants, Gabriel...) but I wanted more.

Dunnett fandom is indeed very intimidating, the breadth of knowledge and understanding readers have is astounding- I belong to various reading groups/lists. Lady D is a hard act to follow. I'm just glad to see some writers have been bold enough to do so, and share with the rest of us. I only flatter where it is due, as I am very picky. :)

This is my original fandom, from WAY back, long, long before the internet, when fans comunicated through printed newsletters, etc. the one that has outlasted all others and keeps drawing me back- it's an obsession, I admit, but one I think I share with many. Thanks for the links. It's a pity the fandom isn't more active on LJ.

Two points:
1. The list is wonderful.
2. I'm not quite sure, but it seems to be missing this one: http://josan.insanejournal.com/1467.html , which I've found quite accidentally today. Unless it's here already and I'm, as usual, not paying enough attention.

Hey there! Thank you so much for keeping this list. I just wrote one, and thought I'd drop a link here. It's called Reached the Open Sea (http://community.livejournal.com/lgbtfest/58277.html), it's Jerott gen(nish) fic.

There's also something like that that I have recently found: http://www.tolkienfanfiction.com/Story_Read_Chapter.php?CHid=3817&PHPSESSID=a8f19367b600def5b15bb3877014bc61 just one short scene, and, as strange as it sounds, a crossover between Dunnett and Tolkien.
